WHO AM I? A SOLO FEMALE TRAVELER AND VAN LIFE ENTHUSIAST
Hi, I’m Roxie, a solo female traveller who has been living the full-time RV life since 2009. My blog is dedicated to inspiring and empowering fellow travellers who share my passion for adventure and wanderlust. As a seasoned traveller with a serious case of wanderlust, I’ve been exploring the world from behind the wheel of my RV for over a decade. I started my RV journey living stationary for several years. I think it’s a great way to adjust to the lifestyle.
MY JOURNEY: FROM VICTORIA TO THE ROAD
I grew up living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, and have always been drawn to the beauty and tranquillity of my home. In 2009, I moved into my first RV, a 36′ 5th wheel, and lived stationary in an RV park for five years. While full-time RV life is not for everyone, I found that it fits my lifestyle and personality perfectly. Women are often judged a little more harshly for choosing this life. I’m hoping to help change the misconceptions about this life I have chosen.
MY HOMES ON THE ROAD: THE BIG BEAST AND MERCY
Today, I live my fulltime RV life in my 34′ Class A motorhome, which I affectionately call “The Big Beast.” I also work and travel solo in my 21′ Pleasureway, “Mercy.” I’ve experienced all kinds of weather, from the freezing cold of Alberta to the warm sunshine of Mexico, and have driven solo through mountains and valleys with my two dogs. I share my RV tips, travel experiences, and consumer reviews on my blog to help fellow solo female travellers and fulltime RV life enthusiasts. Living full-time in an RV is not easy and it’s even more challenging when every task and challenge is met solo, but if I can do it, anyone can! The most important thing is having a resource for your questions and I hope my blog will be just that.
MY MISSION: TO INSPIRE AND EMPOWER
My blog is full of valuable information and resources for RV newbies and van build experts alike. I share my experiences, RV tips, consumer reviews, and travel resources to help empower fellow travellers to chase their dreams and live life to the fullest. My goal is to inspire others to take the leap and explore this beautiful world we live in, whether it’s through RV travel or any other means of adventure.
In addition to my blog, I am working on a YouTube channel where I will document my travels and share even more tips and resources from a woman’s perspective. I’m hoping that by creating content across multiple platforms, I will be able to reach a wider audience and inspire more women to join me on the road less travelled living the fulltime RV life. Although this blog is geared toward solo women living the RV life, there is something here for everyone.
Embracing Challenges and Learning Life Lessons on the Road Less Traveled
Throughout my solo journey on the road, I’ve faced challenges and obstacles that have tested me both mentally and physically. But through it all, I’ve learned valuable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and self-reliance. These are qualities that can help anyone woman succeed in life, no matter what path they choose. As a solo female traveller and full-time RV life enthusiast, I’m here to share my knowledge and experience with others who are looking to live a more adventurous and fulfilling life.
If you’re feeling stuck or uninspired in your current living situation, consider joining me on the road less travelled. Let’s chase our dreams together and create a life filled with adventure, growth, and limitless possibilities! Whether you’re a solo female traveller, a full-time RV life enthusiast, or someone who’s simply looking for a new way to experience the world, my blog has something for everyone. Let’s explore this beautiful world together!
